摘　　要： 兼职教师是美国社区学院一支不可或缺的师资力量,由于数量庞大、身份边缘化、教学成效存在争议,专业发展路径欠缺等内外因素的影响,兼职教师专业发展面临一些问题。美国社区学院非常重视兼职教师的专业发展问题,也做了许多有益的探索,找到了行之有效的解决途径,如建立兼职教师专业发展机构,让兼职教师参与课程开发,开展形式多样的专业发展活动等。这些经验和做法对我国职业院校兼职教师的聘请、管理和专业发展有很好的启示作用。 Adjunct faculty is an integral part of the American community colleges. The troubles occurred in professional development of adjunct faculty that attributes to large number, marginalized identity, controversial teaching result and lack of professional development path. American community colleges paid more attention to professional development of adjunct faculty and found some effective paths, such as establishing professional development agency, taking them in course development and implementing diverse activities. These experience and methods of hiring, administering, and professionally developing adjunct faculty in community colleges will greatly benefit the progression of vocational education in China.
