摘　　要： 人口和谐思想是孟子思想体系的重要组成部分,其不仅强调人口本身和谐,而且主张人口与自然、社会和谐共处。"民为贵"、"天人合一"、"仁人爱物"等是其精髓。本文拟从人口学、社会学双重视角分析孟子关于人口和谐的主要内容、人口和谐的人性基础、人口和谐的实现途径,以期为建设和谐社会提供新视野。 Meng Zi＇s thought of population harmony is an important part of his doctrine, which not only emphasizes harmonious population itself, but also advocates the harmony of population with nature and with society. The ideas such as ＂the people ranking the highest in a state＂, ＂human nature being originally good＂ and ＂unity of Heaven and man＂ are the core of the thought. The paper analysed the main contents of and approaches to the population harmony so as to propel the building of the harmonious society in our country.
