摘　　要： 高等教育大众化的进程对普通高校造成很大的压力,许多人对新兴的现代远程教育寄予厚望。本文从社会、学校和个人三个角度进行了分析,认为当前我们并未做好接受(高中起点)现代远程学历教育的准备;同时由于客观差异的存在,我们也不应该照搬西方一些国家以发展学历教育为主的经验。短期内,我国的现代远程教育宜定位在继续教育、非学历教育上。 The popularization of higher education brings about great pressure to recru itment of high education institu-tion,therefore,many people place great hope s on the up-to-date modern distance education.This paper ana-lyzes perspecti ves of society?schools and students and concludes that we have not made full p reparation for undertaking degree education of under distance education for seni or high school students.Due to the objective difference,we should not copy th e experience of western countries that give priority to develop degree educa-ti on.In a short period,Chinese distance education should put emphasis on contin uing education and non-de-gree education.
