摘 要: 许渊冲提出了著名的"三美理论"——"意美,音美,形美",为诗歌翻译实践和诗歌翻译批评提供了一个系统可行的理论支撑。该文通过比较《离骚》的三个中译本(译者分别为许渊冲、杨宪义和戴乃迭、卓振英),发现三美理论在许译本中得到了充分的体现,但同时音美和形美上的追求也在一定程度上妨碍了原文意义的传递。 The“Triple Beauty”theory proposed by Xu Yuanchong has shed light in poetry translation, facilitating both poetry translation and translation criticism. By conducting a comparative study on three Chinese versions of Li Sao, this paper investigates the feasibility of applying the“Triple Beauty”theory to poetry translation. It is found that Xu’s application is on the whole a suc?cess, with room for improvement where the pursuit of prosodic beauty and image beauty has hindered the expression of the meaning.
