摘　　要： 20世纪90年代以来,社区变迁与个体生活机遇建构之间的关系(社区效应)研究重新成为国际学术界的研究热点。在对欧美有关文献述评的基础上,文章认为目前社区效应研究仍然处于相关关系的发现阶段,对社区效应的产生机制仍然有待进一步研究,建议未来研究应当在社区的定义与测量、抽样以及数据处理等方面加以改进。 The study on the relationship between community social change and individual life chances, a traditional field in urban sociology, has now become a hotspot in the international social science academe since 1990s. Based on a literature review of Euramerican ＂neighborhood effects＂ on the correlation between the community social change and individual life chances, a conclusion is drawn that the question how the neighborhood context influences individual life chances still remian unaddressed in neighborhood research. A set of methodological problems, such as directions for the future study, including the definition and measurement of neighborhoods, methods of sampling and data processing are singled out for discussion.
