摘　　要： 居民出行调查是城市交通规划、建设、管理的基础依据 ,通过对比分析广州市 1998年万户居民出行调查和 1984年居民出行调查的有关数据 ,总结归纳出广州市城市居民出行的规律、变化特征及其原因 ,并针对其特点 。 Investigation of the trips of the city inhabitants is the base of urban communications and transportation planning, urban construction and administration. The data of the trips of 10 000 families in 1998 in Guangzhou are analysed,as compared with those in 1984. A series of indexes of trip intensity, trip way, and temporal and spatial distribution of trips are derived. The rules, and characteristics of the trips of the urban inhabitants in Guangzhou are concluded. The following conditions should be considered for development of urban communications:the increase of inhabitant trips, the elongation of trip distance, the increase of trip time, the high proportion of personal traffic, the huge transportation volume of crossing the Pearl River, and the distinct transportation peak value in rush bours, etc.It is suggested that public transit, high-speed transportation system, and no-handicap sidewalk system should be constructed.
