摘　　要： 约翰·福尔斯是英国当代著名作家,他的著作《法国中尉的女人》是一部内容丰富的元小说,体现了小说与当时的历史社会文化生活背景之间、与其他文本之间、以及同传统小说创作方法的互文性关系,同时,正是因为有对传统文本的思考,才使该作品具有了超时代的吸引力。 In this essay, intertextuality in the French Lieutenant＇s Woman is analysed in detail to provide a new angle to understand this metafiction and also to emphasize the importance of the relationship between the studied text and feminist movement, Cinderella story .,nd traditional writing method. What＇ s more, the author＇ s meditation on the traditional text results in the attraction of this novel.
