摘 要: 从语言学和大众传播学角度对英国政界的精辟语句文化做了跨学科研究。精辟语句是高度浓缩的短语或句子,适合在不同场合多次重复。研究发现,精辟语句文化的出现受政治传播和电视商业化的影响;其功能有宣传政治理念、攻击政敌、恐吓选民等;精辟语句的流行有认知机制做支持。研究还发现,精辟语句正在改变政治话语的风格,新的政治话语会限制人们的思辨能力。 An interdisciplinary study was made of the soundbite culture in British politics in this paper from the perspectives of linguistics and mass communications. A soundbite is a pithy phrase or sentence, repeatable on different occasions. It was found out in the study that the emergence of soundbite culture is due to political communication and television commercialization, that soundbites can be used for publici- zing political ideas, attacking political rivals and cautioning voters, and that the popularity of soundbites can be explained by a cognitive mechanism. It was also revealed that soundbites are changing political dis- course ,which ,in turn,can inhibit people's analytical thinking.
