摘　　要： 我国大学生英语自主学习能力薄弱,为适应社会的飞速发展,高校英语教师有责任有义务培养学生自主学习能力。从自主学习的概念出发,分析了我国大学生英语自主能力薄弱的原因,并结合当前实际,提出了培养学生英语自主学习能力的几点见解。 English independent ability of college students in our country is so weak.English teachers have the responsibility to train the students' independent ability so that they could adapt themselves to the rapid development of the society.This paper begins with the definition of independent ability,analyses the reasons of the students' weakness of English independent ability,and also puts forward several practical suggestions on how to cultivate and develop the ability.
