摘　　要： 科学的精神传统和实验技术是西方科学发展的基础。近代中国的思想家们在学习西方科学的过程中 ,从功利的原则出发 ,接受西方科学的技术传统 ,却漠视和抛弃其精神传统 ,甚至把科学精神和科学理性异化为一种技术手段。因此 ,近代中国的科学观弥漫着强烈的功利化和庸俗化倾向。这种倾向对中国科学的进一步发展具有严重的负面影响。 The tradition of a scientific spirit, together with the experimental technology, constitutes the foundation of the development of sciences in the West. In the course of learning sciences from the West, the thinkers of modern China, proceeding from the principle of utility, accepted the tradition of technology, but at the same time neglected and even rejected the tradition of the Western scientific spirit. Furthermore, they even dissimilated the scientific spirit and scientific rational faculty into a kind of technological medium. Therefore, the concept of science of modern China was filled with a powerful tendency of utilitarianism and vulgarization. This tendency has a very serious negative impact on the further development of China′s sciences.
