摘　　要： 随着与海外接触的增多以及大众对外来事物认同感的增强,现代汉语中音译替代意译的现象偶有发生,音译“秀”的出现便是一个例证,然而“秀”进入汉语后逐渐汉化。本文对“秀”的组合、意义、语素化及其在现代汉语中大量使用的原因作了初步探讨,以期进一步推动新形势下汉语外来词的研究。 Due to more and more oversea contacts and the public＇s increasing awareness to accept the foreign matter, transliteration of alien words has become more popular than free translation in modern Chinese. The transliteration of “show” is one of the typical examples. However, “show” has gradually lost its foreign attributes and adopted Chinese characteristics. This article is a pilot study of the structures with “xiu” （秀） in terms of its combination, meaning, morpheme and the main reason why it is widely used in modern Chinese. It is hoped that the pioneer study will help to encourage the future study of loan words.
