摘　　要： 言语幽默是日常交际中经常使用的一种手段,刻意曲解是实现言语幽默的重要途径之一。从语义层面来看,英语中的一词多义和同音同形异义等现象常常引发刻意曲解;从语用层面来看,偷换概念和转移目标则是引发刻意曲解的主要方式。在言语交际中,听话人常常利用语义歧义和语用含糊来刻意歪曲说话人的话语意图,产生幽默效果,实现其特定的交际目的。 Verbal humor is one of the most frequendy used means in daily communication and deliberate misinterpretation is one of the most important approaches to realizing verbal humor.In terms of semantics,polysemy and homonymy often trigger deliberate misinterpretation;In terms of pragmatics,shifting concepts and diverting objects generate deliberate misinterpretation.In verbal communication,the listener often employ semantic and pragmatic ambiguity to distort the speaker's intention dehberately to produce a humorous effect and realize his particular communicative purpose.
