摘　　要： 翻译表面上是把一种语言转换成另一种语言 ,实质上是一种“跨文化的活动” ,是一种文化再现。因此 ,译者必须忠实地把原语文化再现给译语读者。由此可见 。 Translation,by which one language is transformed into another, is actually a crosscultural activity and a reproduction of culture. The aim of translation is to comprehend the original culture and represent it in the target language. The translator, therefore, should be faithful to the contents and form of the original text. Faithfulness is an objective and widely accepted criterion.
