摘　　要： 西方后殖民主义文学通过东方主义话语重构东方的过程即是西方通过凝视东方折射或再现东方的过程。西方凝视东方的目光充满西方道德价值和文化传统观念,以此目光凝视、审视或再现东方的结果是:东方被扭曲、被歪曲、被整形。所以,赛义德的东方主义不仅意味着西方对东方的话语重构,而且还意味着西方对东方的凝视折射。 The Orientalists' discursive reconstruction of the Orient in Western postcolonial literature is actually the Westerners' refraction and representation of the Orient through the Western gaze at the Orient. The Western gaze, examining and representing the Orient, reflects the Western moral values and cultural tradition, bringing about a distorted, twisted and reformed Orient. Therefore, Said's Orientalism means not only the Western discursive reconstruction of the Orient, but also the Western gazing refraction of the Orient.
