摘　　要： 谚语是语言的一个重要组成部分。它是特定区域的人们对日常生产生活经验的总结和概括。因此,英汉谚语之间存在着差异。本文从历史原因,宗教信仰,文化背景三方面分析英汉谚语存在差异的原因,以及把英语谚语运用在大学英语教学中,以提高学生学习英语的兴趣。 Proverbs are an important part of the language.It is the people of a particular area of daily life and experience of production and generalization.Therefore,there is a difference between English and Chinese Proverbs.From the historical rea-sons,religious and cultural backgrounds analyze the reasons for differences in three Chinese proverb,and the English proverb used in college English teaching to enhance students＇interest in learning English.
