庄子“言意道”观浅论

摘  要: 庄子从不同层面阐述了语言表达观念,在形而下领域包括物之粗和物之精两个层面。小言得粗,大言得精,不言悟道,乃是庄子语言表达的基本观念。至于论者以"言尽意"、"言不尽意"来概括它,便混淆了语言表达的不同层面,并不符合庄子思想的实际。"言尽意"、"言不尽意"是魏晋玄学辩论的话题,庄子涉及到言意关系,却没说过"言尽意"或"言不尽意",以此来阐释庄子,反而遮蔽了庄子的真意。在形而上领域,没有语言的位置,不言方可悟道。庄子以忘言得意,进入精神自由,开启心灵悟道之路。庄子的"言意道"观,具有深刻的文学价值和思想价值。 Zhuangzi elaborated his ideas of verbal expression from different dimensions.His physical domain included two categories of the rough things and the subtle things.The rough things may be put in preliminary language,the subtle in advanced language,and Tao can be attained by no language.This is Zhuang Zi's basic idea of verbal expression.Those who summarize his ideas by saying that language can fully express one's meaning or that language cannot fully express one's meaning have mixed up different planes of verbal expression,deviating from Zhuang Zi's real ideas.As a matter of fact,the topic that language can or cannot fully express one's meaning was debated by the dark learning during the Wei and Jin periods in the 3rd and 4th centuries and has nothing to do with Zhuang Zi.Therefore,such irrelevant discussion hides Zhuang Zi's real intention rather than revealing it.In the metaphysical domain,there is no place for language since Tao can only be reached by no language.Forgetting language to get one's meaning is Zhuang Zi's way of entering spiritual freedom and making enlightenment possible.Zhuang Zi's idea on language,meaning,and Tao is of profound value in literature and thought.
