摘　　要： 以葛浩文、罗鹏和陶忘机三位美国汉学家译者的六部乡土小说为语料,译本中方言实词的翻译共性的呈现,表明美国汉学家译者群体在方言翻译时遵循了词语操作规范。三位译者在各类方言词汇的具体翻译操作上既有共性亦有不同,他们都有意无意遵循着既顺应译者所处社会的主流意识形态和主流诗学,尊重目标语读者的阅读习惯,又兼顾源语文化异质性的翻译操作规范,同时他们又各自有着不同的译者规范。这是有借鉴意义的。 Based on six Chinese folk novel translations form three American Sinologists,this paper aims to analyze the translation universals of Sinologist translators and summarize the operational norms they followed in translating dialect words and expressions.The study of the translation universals proves that American Sinologists have taken into comprehensive consideration on the mainstream ideology and poetics of the society they belong to,the reading habits of the target readers’and the heterogeneity of the source culture.They also have their own respective translators’norms which are also fully represented in their translation strategies.We can absorb their successful experiences in future translations of Chinese folk novels by selectively following their operational norms and flexibly putting them into practice.
