摘　　要： 建筑典籍英译不仅是对古建筑文化遗产的记载和传播,也是中外建筑界可供参考互鉴的理论来源,本文聚焦于建筑典籍《园冶》的术语翻译,从概念准确、消除歧义、音意结合和图文互释四方面分析了《园冶》的术语特征及英译得失,以期为建筑典籍翻译及研究提供借鉴。 The translation of Chinese architectural classics contributes to the spread of culture,and mutual promotion on Chinese and foreign architecture theoretically. This article focuses on the translation of terminology in The Craft of Gardens( Yuan Ye),with the analysis covering aspects on the accuracy of concepts,disambiguation,combination of transliteration and free translation,and illustrated form of translation. It is hoped that this study can shed some light on the translation studies of Chinese architectural classics at large.
