Nobuku Yoshiya and Fumiko Hayashi were once popular Japanese writers who took several trips to China to visit with Japanese armies and witness frontline conflict. In 1938,they were inducted into the first"Pen Troup"as the first women members who were considered outstanding and the"two red dots"of the Troup. Yoshiya played a female role in a marine class demonstrating women’s quality and value. Hayashi staged a new episode of romance in the battle field in China. They both tried to inject women’s dialogue and their desires for life in the Japanese militarist discourse and became sympathizers of Japanese invasion in China. They were different from other Japanese women because they chose to assist the war of invading China without government pressure. They fitted their reports from the battlefield in the militarist discourse at the time and willingly became supporters of the war.
