摘　　要： 《人性的污秽》作为菲利普·罗斯的代表作品之一,受到学者们的广泛关注。试图采用创伤理论,研究《人性的污秽》中女性人物福妮娅的创伤历程,并对其悲剧命运进行深入的分析,主要探讨童年时的性骚扰、婚姻生活中的家暴和两个孩子的意外死亡对其所造成的不同程度的创伤,以及其在经受创伤后的反应和应对方法,进而探究罗斯在作品中对女性乃至整个人类生存困境的思考。 The Human Stain,as one of Roth’s representative novels,has aroused widespread attention in academia. Based on trauma theory,this thesis attempts to study on the stages of Faunia’s Trauma in The Human Stain and deeply analyze Faunia’s tragic fate,from such different levels of traumatic events as the harassment in childhood,the domestic violence in marriage and the unexpected death of two children and the syndromes and ways to trying to work through trauma,especially to explore Roth’s reflection on the living predicament of women even the humankind.
