摘　　要： 初唐以前,"樊"可借为"燔,"字;"樊"字常写作"樊";后又由"樊"发展作"■"、■、■等形;再后来"■"及其异体则又常常被认为是"焚"的古字。《说文·火部》"焚"字作"燓",疑是时人已不知"燓"及其异体来自焚烧义的"樊"这个事实而造成的结果。清代写本文献保留有"樊"、"焚"互讹的情况,性质、过程与前者均不同,是字形相近带来的讹误。唐代石刻文献另有"■"字,很可能是"焚"字之讹,但也不能完全排除是"樊"字讹省的可能。 Before the early Tang Dynasty,the character 樊(fan) can be phonetically loaned as 燔(fan) and is often written as 樊.The glyph then evolves into■,■,■,etc.,and the variants are constantly mistaken for the ancient form of another character 焚(fen).In Shuowen Jiezi(说文解字),焚 is written as 燓,which reflects the misunderstand.However,in the hand-written documents of Qing Dynasty,the reason for the mixture of 樊 and 焚 should be ascribed to the similarity of the two forms.In the stone inscriptions of Tang Dynasty,the character■ might be the variation of 焚,but the paper could not completely exclude the possibility that it is the erroneous transformation or abbreviation of 樊.
