摘　　要： 本文论述了英语中现在分词短语作后置定语时在动词的时、体以及类型诸方面所受的限制 ,对其与定语从句在语义等方面的差异进行了比较 。 This thesis discourses upon the restriction of verbs in their tense, aspect and type when present participle phrases are used as postpositional attributive in English and compares semantic distinctions between the present participle phrases and attributive clauses. The thesis also discusses several questions, to which should be paid attention when present participle phrases are converted into attributive clauses and discusses the position of present participle phrases in sentences.
