摘　　要： 琉球,或者说冲绳,从日本的国家内部看,已演化为行政区划的问题,但实际上它是东亚地缘政治诸多问题中的节点问题,涉及复杂的历史与法理辩难,当下,它已成为中日关系中的敏感问题,也是促使我们思考并应对美国亚太战略的重大问题。本文主要根据一些日本学者的观点和相关的日本文献资料,以日本历史的发展为主线对琉球或者冲绳的历史进行还原,也可以说是通过一种他者的角度将琉球抑或冲绳的历史问题进行梳理和剖析,以进一步理清琉球问题或冲绳问题的来龙去脉,在某种程度上说这也是具有迫切的现实意义与深远的政治文化价值的。 From Japan's point of view,Ryukyu or Okinawa,has become only a question of adminstrative division. However,it is actually the result of Asia's multiple political conflicts,involving both historical and juris-prudential problems. Now,it has become a sensitive issue between China and Japan,and an import part of America's Asia-Pacific strategy which deserves our serious contemplation. This paper setsout to reconstruct the distant past of Ryukyu and its historical development on the basis of the works of Japanese scholars and relevant historical documents. It may be said that this paper aims to provide an alternative view — the view of'the other'— on the issues of Ryukyu. It is the authors' belief that research like this would have both pressing urgency and far-reaching political and cultural significance.
