摘　　要： 地名和公示语的英译已有"国标"及相关地方标准。小区名称具有地名的指位性,同时又具有特定的语言功能,其英文译写目前尚无章可循。小区名称的英译应考虑其信息、表情及祈使功能,实现语言功能的对等。 The translation of place names and public signs can follow national and related local standards.Residential quarter names have not only the positioning function of place names,but particular language functions.The C-E translation of residential quarter names has no rules to follow.This paper considers that the translation of residential quarter names should achieve equivalence in language functions based on the analysis of information,expression and imperative function.
