摘 要: 一、问题的提出记忆外语生词是学习外语的一大难关。没有一定的词汇量,即使有很好的语法知识,也会在一篇外文面前瞠目结舌,更谈不上中外文间的互译。正是由于外语单词难记,使它成了学生学习上的一大障碍,有的学生由于记不住单词而失去了学习兴趣和信心;有的学生为了记住单词而天天背诵,这样,随着词汇的积累,已不可能每天都把以前所学单词全部重复。 In our experiment we explored theways to rationally arrange the reviewtime for secondary school students tomemorize English words.We found thateffective results could be achieved if thereview time was arranged in the orderof the 2nd,4th,8th,16th,32th daysafter learning,which can be worked out by the formular:a_n=a_1r^(n-1).This pro-cedure applies not only to students ofdifferent ages,but also to students atdifferent levels of memory.We alsofound that top speed stage of forgettingfell on respectively the 2nd day and the4th-8th days if the students did not re-view their new-learned words.
