摘　　要： 美国作家威廉·福克纳的时间哲学在小说《喧哗与骚动》中得到了充分的体现。作品中的叙述时间、心理时间在塑造人物、展示主题、表现内容等方面有着重要的意义。通过对时间的处理 ,福克纳表达了对当人类丧失勇气、荣誉、希望、自豪、同情、怜悯之心和牺牲精神时的悲哀之情和一种对现代社会的忧患意识 ,同时表达了他对人类这些美好情感回归的呼唤。 Faulkner's time philosophy is fully expressed in his novel The Sound and the Fury. The narrative time, the psychological time as well as the narrators' feelings towards the clock time serve as the important means in the aspects of characterization, themes and contents. Through the handling of the time in the work, Faulkner shows his sadness and worries when human being lose such virtues as courage, honor, hope, pride, compassion, pity and sacrifice and he also shows his hope of the coming back of these virtues which have been the glory of the past of human being.
