摘　　要： 语言教育政策是美国多元社会结构中重要的教育政策。美国双语教育法在实施30年后,目前遭受严峻的挑战。多元文化的社会规范将引领语言教育政策的发展,未来的美国语言教育政策,必须能反映了主流社会对少数族裔儿童的宽容、宽厚和宽待、对公民权利的尊重以及慷慨满足社会不同群体的多种需求的价值观。 Language education policy is the most important education policy in the multiple social structures in the US. The bilingual education policy encountered severe challenges in the past thirty years. Multicuhural norms in the US will lead the development of language education policy. The language education policy in the United States should reflect the tolerance to ethnic minority children, show the respect to the civic rights of the mainstream society and meet the needs of values in different social groups.
