摘　　要： 梁廷枏是清代广东的著名学者,治学涉猎戏曲、史学、政治等诸多领域。他长期从事岭南地区的学堂教育工作,曾参与粤海关的修志工作和广州的反英斗争。他较早接触西方文化,研究国际形势,是近代中国“开眼看世界”的先进知识分子,但儒家本位思想和阶级时代局限阻碍了他对西方学习的深入。 Liang Tingnan was a famous scholar of Guangdong in the late Qing period.His academic pursuits covered drama,history,and politics.He was engaged for a long period of time in school education in Guangdong and participated in the making of the gazetteer of Canton Customs House and activities against British invasion.He was one of the earliest Chinese to make contact with western culture and study international situations.He was a progressive intellectual who opened his eyes to the world but he was prevented from in-depth study of the west by his Confucian tunnel vision and the limitation of his social class and times.
