摘 要: 大学英语四、六级考试对推动全国大学英语教学起着重要作用,具有较高的权威性和认可度,但考试最初不含口试部分,不能考核考生口语能力,原因在于大规模测试口语能力操作性差。由于起初不考口语,后来有条件推出时,门槛又较高、覆盖面狭窄,导致口语教学普遍不被重视,学生口头交际能力长期薄弱。相对于四、六级考试,校内考试规模较小,可实施口语考试,引导师生重视口语能力培养。本文充分利用口试的积极后效作用,从学生实际水平出发,基础阶段连续四个学期进行口语考试,循序渐进。在实践基础上,尝试弥补四、六级口语考试覆盖面的局限,构建大学英语口试体系,为提高学生英语应用技能,实现对教学大纲规定的培养目标进行有益的探索。 As a large-scale test, the CET4&6, endowed with extensive social recognition and authority, has played an indispensable role in promoting college English teaching in China. However, an oral test has not been entailed at first due to the lack of feasibility, as a result of which spoken English teaching is ignored. In comparison with the CET4&6, small-scale college tests are designed to involve oral English test so as to encourage cultivating the abilities to speak English. Based on the practice to test the students' speaking abilities step by step in four semesters, this pa- per is pertinently trying to put forward a College English Oral Test System for the sake of implementation of the Sylla- bus of College English so as to supplement the limited coverage of CET-SET.
