摘　　要： 改革开放以来,广东高等教育规模的发展特征主要表现为:高等教育规模的增量极大、增速极快;逐渐形成两端弱小、中间强大的"腰鼓"型层次结构;高等教育规模发展与经济发展尚不协调。针对高等教育发展相对滞后于经济和社会发展,规模总量相对不足等问题,广东需要适度超前扩张高等教育规模。 Since the reform and opening-up, the mass development of Guangdong higher education is marked by large increment, fast speed and olive-shaped hierarchical structure, which is out of line with the economic and social development. Guangdong province should moderately expand the scale of higher education ahead of time to solve the problems such as the lagging of higher education development and the relative shortage of the overall size.
