摘　　要： 通过交易成本和利润最大化两个视角对国际贸易结算货币选择理论进行述评,并结合日元结算的典型事例,得出国际贸易结算货币的选择受到出口国的经济体实力、市场份额、出口商品的差异性、出口国汇率的稳定性、货币兑换的交易成本、货币关系变迁的历史惯性以及政治军事地位的影响,并在此基础上探讨了人民币国际结算的前景。研究表明,人民币成为国际贸易结算货币有其必然性,但是需要经历一个长期曲折的过程。 In this paper, we present an overview of theoretical research on the choice of settlement currency in international trade from the perspective of currency transaction costs and expected profit maximization. With the Yen＇ s internationalization case for reference, the study shows the size of the economy, the market share, the differentiation of the exported product, the exchange rate volatility ,the currency transaction costs, the currency historical inertia and the political and military position all play a key role that affects the choice of settlement currency. On this basis, our analysis of prosperity of RMB international trade settlement demonstrates that RMB becoming international trade currency is a necessity, but has to experience a long-term tortuous process.
