摘 要: 广东省自1995年实施最低工资制度以来,广东各城市的最低工资标准均有不同幅度的提高,但与北京、上海相比,广东省在最低工资标准方面的竞争优势并不明显,而且未能与职工平均工资和人均GDP的变动相适应。本文基于2004-2011年广东21个城市的面板数据进行实证研究,发现广东省平均最低工资标准的就业效应显著为正。因此广东省可继续上调最低工资标准,并加强宣传和监管力度,以缓解当前广东省招工难的压力、维持社会和谐稳定。 Since the implementation of minimum wage system in year 1995, though the minimum wage standards of different cities in Guangdong Province have been continuously enhanced, these adjustments are not adapting to the changes of workers' average wages and GDP per capita. Compared with Beijing and Shang- hai, Guangdong Province shows no competitive advantage in the adjustments of minimum wage standards. The result of empirical research based on the panel data of 21 cities in Guangdong Province during year 2004 - 2011 indicates that the employment of Guangdong Province is remarkably improved by the rise of minimum wage. Thus, Guangdong Province can continue to raise the minimum wage standard and strengthen the propa- ganda and regulation to release the labor shortage pressure of Guangdong Province and maintain the harmony and peace of the society.
