大学英语转型背景下“学术英语”课程模块的构建

摘  要: 在我国大学英语向"学术英语"课程转型的背景下,本文基于对国内外"学术英语"课程设置的回顾,提出针对思辨能力、修辞与体裁意识、学术规范培养,在英语口头和书面学术交流两个方向课程中进行分层教学的课程设置构想,并详述了笔者所在高校中山大学依托内容、以项目驱动、互动合作的教学模式和课程的形成性评估实践,以期外语界同行进一步交流和探讨"学术英语"课程建设。 Under the background of the transition from English for General Purposes to English for Academic Purposes in the college English curriculum in China's Mainland, this paper provides a brief review of the curriculum designs of academic English at home and abroad. With the aim of fostering students' critical thinking skills, senses of rhetoric and genre, and academic competence, the paper proposes and analyzes the conception of "Academic English" curriculum design at Sun Yat-sen University in terms of different level courses of two directions ( i. e. English Academic Reading and Writing I-III, English Academic Communication and Research I-II). It further elaborates on the relevant teaching practice involving teaching models (i. e. content-based, project-driven and interactive teaching models) and course assessment as well. The paper is expected to provide theoretical foundations and empirical evidence for other colleges in the construction of English for Academic Purposes programs.
