摘　　要： 由于历史和文化背景的不同,中西方审美特质迥异,因此在寄寓人们审美特质的文学作品中用以表现音美、形美和意美的写作手法也各不相同,这无形中给文学翻译工作带来极大的困难。但翻译家们匠心独运,以各种变通的方式,在音韵、文字、意象美等方面进行了再创造,弥补了翻译时遗失的美。 Aesthetic appreciation properties of people between China and West bear great differences because of varied historical and cultural backgrounds, therefore greatly varied are their writing techniques used to display the rhythmic beauty, language beauty and image beauty in their literary works which are the manifestations of people＇s aesthetic appreciation properties, thus it doubtlessly brings about difficulties for literary translation. However, Chinese and English literary translators contrive to compensate for the lost beauty in rhythm, language and image with various adjustments and their creativity.
