摘　　要： 作为一个擅长描写女性角色的女性作家,张爱玲翻译海明威彰显男性气质的作品《老人与海》的过程,从某种意义上说就是"女性美"和"男性美"奇妙碰撞的过程。译本中张爱玲对老人与大海、乌龟、鱼、鲨鱼关系的诠释,很好地展示了老人复杂、丰富的人生和情感世界,体现了老人"壮烈"背后的"苍凉","飞扬"背后的"安稳"。在表现老人勇敢、坚毅的同时,也挖掘了老人安静、温存、孤独、内疚、怀疑、服输的内心世界。张爱玲对老人的诠释是老人人生和情感世界"飞扬"的一面和"安稳"一面的调和,也暗合了她的创作标准——好的作品应该有男性美和女性美的调和。 It is literally a magic fusion of the 'feminine beauty'and the 'masculine beauty'when Zhang Ailing translated Hemingway's works. Her'desolate'philosophy of arts and her delicate language find resonance in The Old Man and the Sea. With this resonance,her language can interpret the'desolate'meaning of life from the'heroic'story. Furthermore,when she represented the old man's braveness and his strong will,she discovered his quietness,love,loneliness,regret,suspicion,and acknowledgement of defeat as well. Her translated work shows the fusion of the old man's both heroic and quiet aspects of life,which perfectly tells the old man's love in his power and his richness of mind. With Mrs. Zhang's unique understanding of the work and her language,her translated work The Old Man and the Sea perfectly fits her principle of writing: 'A good work is the fusion of masculine beauty and feminine beauty. '
