摘　　要： 古代奥林匹克精神是一种张扬个性、展示斗志、推崇强大力量的战斗精神,主要体现对形体美的追求,更反映了古奥运会的阶级关系。而现代奥运会已经超越了纯粹竞技的意义,将和谐元素贯入奥林匹克精神,其精神有了更为丰富的内涵。这要归因于古今中西文化渊源的流变和差异,古希腊时期的奥林匹克精神体现着西方早期的和谐思想,追求形式上的和谐之美。而现代奥林匹克精神将和谐元素贯入,对中国"和"文化传统进行了主动呼应和有效征用,体现了对中西和谐文化的兼容并蓄。 Ancient Olympic spirit is a symbol of fighting spirits such as personality display, morale demonstration and strength worship. It reflects not only the pursuit for pretty figures but also the class relations presented in ancient Olympic Games. However, modern Olympic spirit has gone beyond the athletic side and added to harmonious elements, which helped it possess a richer connotation. The progress should be attributed to the differences and development of Chinese and Western cultures till now. In ancient Greek era, Olympic spirit, with the appreciation of physically beautiful human bodies as a feature, revealed an early concept of harmony. The application of such concept in modem Olympic Games is a resonance and interpretation for China＇ s ＇ harmony＇ philosophy, and thus the compatibility of Chinese and western culture can be noticed.
