摘　　要： 在文献资料的基础上,比较了东西方两种不同的体育传播路线,由此而揭示了近代中国人在体育认知上的异化,除了民族性格、思维习惯和文化因素等以外,应该还具有深刻的历史根源。这一根源的重要表现是:近代西方体育在中国的传入,是由军队而走向学校、走向社会的,于是从一开始就决定了中国人总是较多地远离体育的本质而主要关注体育的社会功能和社会作用。 This article compares disparate western and eastern ways of popularizing sports on the basis of consulting materials, reveals that the cause of modern Chinese people＇ s mutation of sports perception is ascribed not only to national characteristics, thinking patterns and cultural factors, but deeper historical roots. The important manifest of these roots is the spread of mod- ern western sports in China is from army to school and to society. This pattern makes Chinese wont to staying away from the essence of sports and paying attention to sports＇ social function and effects instead.
