摘　　要： 揭阳方言的"呾"存在多功能性,有言说动词、标句词、从句标记和语气词四种用法。本文描写"呾"的用法,并构拟其虚化途径,认为揭阳方言的"呾"是汉语方言中虚化程度较高的标句词;另外,"呾"向语气词的演变是一种省略引发的语法化现象,该演变机制较为特别,可为语法化的研究提供一种新的视角。 The word da(呾) in the Jieyang dialect is multifunctional,namely,a SAY verb,a complementizer,a subordinator and a sentence-final particle.Based on a detailed description of the usage of da,the article reconstructs its grammaticalization path and reckons that da is at a more advanced stage in the way to develop into a complementizer than its counterparts,if there were,in other Chinese dialects.Furthermore,the transition of da to a final particle constitutes a case of ellipsis-induced grammaticalization,which is special in the evolution mechanism of function words and therefore offers a new perspective in the study of grammaticalization.
