Chinese immigrants are found all over the world. Identity issues will appear in the diaspora process. The novels are written by Chinese female writers in Southeast Asia, exploring the diversity of Chinese diaspora and identity in their countries. Among them, Malaysian and Indonesian Chinese are minority nationalities. They are facing repression of the dominant race in their countries. Even Malaysian Chinese are being oppressed by the government, but they can still resist and rebound. Their Chinese identities are strong. On the other hand, Indonesian Chinese are unable to resist the state com- pulsory assimilation. They are suffering from internal conflict because of their ethnic and cultural identity. Even though, Chinese are the dominant race in their country, the Chinese elites are not higher appreciated by their own government. This is mainly because of the language policy bias in their country. Therefore, the Singaporean Chinese are vague about their own identities.
