摘　　要： 目前，编目员在编目工作中不同程度存在以下问题：依赖条例、权威观点，过多以公务目录体系视角组织目录，重描述轻主题，受编目传统习惯束缚较多，缺乏组织空间和主观能动性。为避免走上类似歧路，编目员要清楚目录的主要功能，界定编目工作的原则，在实践中积极思考，加强学术训练，提高业务能力。参考文献14。 Currently different branch roads in cataloging exist： depending on the regulations and authoritative point of view, cataloguing system emphasizing too much on the official view, the subjects being ignored with focusing on the description, and the cataloguing being limited by the traditional way and lack of initiative. To avoid the similar situations, the key is to clear and definite the functions of the catalog and cataloguing principles, think actively in practice, and have academic training to improve the operational capacity. The highest principle of the cataloguing is the convenience of the user.
