“悲剧”的新界定及其应用

摘  要: 各种美学教科书上出现的悲剧观一致认为,悲剧是正义的、合理的、有价值的一方的失败与毁灭,悲剧主人公是代表正义的。其实,他们误解了恩格斯的话,马、恩的悲剧观恰好与此相反。按照马、恩的观点,悲剧是历史非合理性与历史合理性冲突之后的毁灭。据此,不妨说,喜剧是冲突中历史合理性的胜利,崇高是历史合理性的暂时失败,丑恶是历史非合理性的暂时胜利。没有绝对的崇高和丑恶,只有绝对的悲剧和喜剧。崇高和丑恶是量变,悲剧和喜剧是质变。崇高是一种偶然的悲剧,丑恶是一种偶然的喜剧。 The tragic views in various aesthetic textbooks consistently hold that tragedy is the destruction and failure of the object which is just,reasonable and valuable,and tragic hero is the representative of justice.In fact,they misunderstand the utterance of Engels,the view of tragedy of Marx and Engels is just to the contrary.According to Marx and Engels’ point,tragedy is the destruction of the historical non rationality after collision with historical rationality.Accordingly,we can say that comedy is the victory of historical rationality in the conflict,the sublime is the temporarily fail of historical rationality,and ugliness is a temporary victory of the historical irrationality.There is no absolute sublime or ugliness,only the absolute tragedy and comedy.The relationship between sublime and ugliness is a quantitative change,while tragedy and comedy is a qualitative change.Sublime is a kind of accidental tragedy,and ugliness is an occasional comedy.
