摘　　要： 1978年改革开放以来，我国的“城市化”运动迅速开展，在这一过程中，大众报纸作为一种主要的市民舆论媒介，实际上也通过文字、图像和报道参与了这场“城市化运动”，不仅从多方面建构“纸上的城市”，塑造了各种各样的“城市形象”，而且报纸媒体对于城市的报道、叙述和想象，深刻影响并建构了读者的“城市观”。 Since the reform and open-up in 1978, China＇s urbanization movement developes rapidly. Meanwhile, news- papers as the major vehicle for public opinion take part in this process through words, pictures and news reporting, construct the city on paper and create various city images. Besides, newspapers affect and thus frame readers＂ under- standing of the city.
