摘　　要： 本文分四个方面介绍了林语堂英文版《中国新闻舆论文》。此书的内容分两大部分：古代的舆论批评和报刊的发展历史，其突出的贡献是在古代的舆论批评和共和以后的新闻事业状况。 An exploration of the significance of the book A history of the Press and Public Opinion in china by Lin Yutang, this paper recognizes two distinguished contributions of the book. On one hand, it is a valuable reference to the historical studies of Chinese journalism; on the other, it is a study of public opinion in ancient time and a demonstration of the journalism situation after the revolution of 1911.
