摘　　要： 当代社会“重读儒家经典”有两重内容五种意义：一是本该读而没有读的“普及型重读”，其群体主要是普通大众．意义在于“补充传统文化的知识性匮乏”和“追溯公民品格的道德性渊源”：二是本该重视而没有重视的“研究型重读”，其对象主要是知识分子．着重“寻求儒家学说的现代性出路”和“回应全球泛化的民族性重构”：这两种“重读”之间的对接意义为“应对信仰危机的精神性寻根”。 There are two kinds of meaning in reading Confucian classics in modern society.One is'the popular rereading'engaged by the groups of common people,'supplying Chinese traditional culture to reduce their intellectual deficiency'and'tracing back to morality origin of citizen conduct'.And the other is'the rereading for research'done by the group of intellectuals,which significance is'to seek the way for modernizing Confucianism'and'rebuilding nationality in responding to globalization'.The essential meaning connected the popular rereading with the research rereading is'the seeking of spiritual root for dealing with the faith crisis'.
