摘　　要： 社会思潮是一种复杂的社会意识现象，它是人们时代精神的反映，作为一种精神力量，也对现实具有强大的导向作用。西方自由主义、拜金主义、享乐主义、个人主义、功利主义等是影响当代青年思想的主要社会思潮。信仰是社会主义精神文明建设的核心，也是思想政治教育的根本内容。在新的历史时期加强对青年的信仰教育具有重要的现实意义。 Social thought is a complex phenomenon of social consciousness which reflects the spirit of the times. As a spiritual force, it has guiding effects on the real life. The main trends of social thought impacting on the thinking of contemporary youth include western liberalism, money worship, hedonism, individualism, utilitarianism, etc. Belief is the core of construction of socialist spiritual civilization and the fundamental contents of the ideological and political education. Enhancing the education of idelogical beliefs among young people is of great realistic significance in the new historical period.
