摘　　要： 本文报道了一项在非英语专业本科学生英语课中进行英语新闻报道活动的试验。该活动的三个主要环节是：1)学生课前阅读英文报纸和收听英文广播；2)课堂进行新闻报道和口头讨论；3)课后就有关问题进行写作训练。采用统计方法对试验数据的分析以及学生的问卷调查结果表明，这项语言实践活动激发了学生学习英语的兴趣与热情，有效提高了他们的英语综合运用能力。本文还讨论了试验活动中出现的问题及解决对策。 This paper presents an experimental study of having a news report activity in a college English class of non-English majors. In this activity the students are required to read English newspapers and listen to English radios before class, to make oral news reports and discussions in class and to write compositions on related topics after class. The findings from the statistical analysis of the data and the student survey indicate that such an activity is effective in arousing students' enthusiasm and enhancing their English proficiency. In the end the paper explores the problems that emerged from the experimental activity and advances some possible solutions for them.
