摘　　要： 明吏作为明代官僚政治结构的重要组成部分，他们卑贱的社会地位与其在文人—官僚政治体制下的重要作用之间的矛盾，造成其为政失衡的心态。文章从明吏的社会认知、社会情感、社会需要和社会态度四个方面加以论述，以探求介于官民之间的这一特殊阶层行为产生的内在动因。 The Li (吏, mandarin) of the Ming Dynasty is an integral part of the b ureaucratic political structure. The conflict between their humble social status and their important role in the scholar-bureaucratic political system created t his imbalanced mentality in the political arena. This article elaborates the iss ue from the aspects of social cognition, social emotions, social needs and socia l attitude in an effort to explore the internal behavior motives for this specia l social stratum between officials and civilians.
