摘　　要： 英华文学从发端至今已有近80年历史，在上世纪八、九十年代和本世纪初皆有力作出现并获得西方权威文学奖，但学界对英华文学却鲜有关注。本文检视当代英华文学的创作主题，勾勒当代英华文学的整体概貌，以探索其创作共性和差异。论文揭示：“家园记忆”和“族裔离散”是当代英华文学的典型主题；英华作家通过叙述家园记忆抒发乡愁和审视原乡，通过书写族裔离散经验再现英国华人的创伤遭遇。故国家园的绵绵记忆，中华文化的种种意象，与漂泊离散的经验杂糅，构成了一幅耐人寻味的文学图景，重绘了英国文学及世界文学版图。 British Chinese literature has reshaped the landscape of British litera- ture and the world literature with its unique narration of diasporic experience. Since it has not received enough critical attention, this article draws an overview of its current develop- ment in an attempt to illuminate two major themes in contemporary British Chinese litera- ture, namely ＂home memory＂ and ＂ethnic diaspora. ＂
