摘　　要： 求职信能体现语言的三个纯理功能之一——人际功能.通过对中英文求职信高频人际意义词的研究,发现中西文化的差异,如西方文化讲求平等,而中国文化讲究社会等级等. Cover letters can reflect interpersonal function, one of the three meta-functions. Through the study of frequently-used words related to interpersonal function in cover letters, Chinese and western cultural differences can be found, such as equality in western culture, whereas hierarchy in Chinese culture.
