摘　　要： 本文对谷峰关于“诚”和“果”语气副词用法的形成提出不同看法。本文认为，形容词“诚”演变为副词并未经过“词义的泛化”阶段，而是在状语位置上直接虚化为语气副词，形成于先秦早期。语气副词“果”并非来自动词“实现”，而是来自形容词“果敢，果决”，先秦早期即已形成。 This paper disagrees with the point of view of GU(2011) about the development of the modal adverbs cheng(诚) and guo(果) in ancient Chinese.It argues that the adjective cheng evolves directly into a modal adverb in an adverbial position in the early pre-Qin period with no step of non-specialization of meaning,and the modal adverb guo derives from an adjective guo instead of a verb guo also in the early pre-Qin period.
